Inside Alpha Cool
Alpha Cool is ready-mix concrete supplied with a controlled placement temperature. In Bangalore's summer, uncontrolled concrete can reach the chute at 34-38°C, which accelerates slump loss, shortens the finishing window and raises the risk of plastic shrinkage and thermal cracking. Alpha Cool holds the delivered temperature at or below the project-specified limit — typically 25°C.
Temperature is brought down with a combination of flake ice replacing part of the mix water, chilled batching water, shaded and sprinkler-cooled aggregate stockpiles, and dispatch scheduling that moves heat-sensitive loads to the cooler part of the day.
The delivered temperature is measured and recorded at the plant and again at the point of discharge. For mass elements, thermocouple monitoring of core and surface temperature is available so the differential stays inside the specified limit during the critical first 72 hours.

Built for hot weather and heat-sensitive pours
Part of the mix water replaced with flake ice and the balance chilled, dropping placement temperature by 8-12°C.
Measured at dispatch and at the chute. Recorded on the batch ticket so the site QA file shows the delivered temperature.
Retarder system tuned to the delivered temperature, so slump survives traffic and the finishing window stays open.
For mass elements, core-to-surface differential targeted below 20°C with thermocouple monitoring and an insulation plan.
