The QC programme, end to end
1. Inbound materials
Every consignment of cement, fly ash, GGBS, coarse and fine aggregate is sampled on arrival. Cement is tested for setting time, fineness and 7- and 28-day compressive strength. Aggregates are tested for grading, silt content, water absorption and impact value.
2. Mix design
Mix designs are developed per IS 10262:2019 using actual material properties from the bound consignments. Trial mixes are cast, slump-tested and cube-tested before a design is approved for production. Designs are versioned and traceable to the consultant's BOQ.
3. Batching and dispatch
Each transit mixer is loaded against a programmed batch recipe. Cement, aggregate, water and admixture are weighed by load cells calibrated quarterly. The batch ticket printed at the plant is the source of truth and travels with the mixer.
4. At site
Slump test (IS 1199) before discharge. Cube sampling at the agreed frequency (typically three cubes per 50 m³). Site engineer signs off the batch ticket. No water is added to the mixer at site without written authorisation from the technical team.
5. Hardened concrete
Cubes are tested at 7 and 28 days per IS 516 on a calibrated compression testing machine. Reports are issued in your project file with the batch reference, mix design and target strength.
