Why ready-mix beats site-mix
Site-mix concrete depends on the discipline of whoever happens to be at the mixer that day. Ready-mix concrete is batched under software control, against an approved IS 10262 mix design, with cement, aggregate and water dosed by load cells and water-meters. The result is a tighter strength distribution, fewer site rejections and a documented audit trail you can produce for the structural consultant.
For any pour above roughly 10 m³, RMC is also faster. A pump-truck plus three transit mixers in rotation can place 30–40 m³/hour — a rate that site-mix cannot match without compromising compaction or curing.
What you get on every Alpha Concrete delivery
- Approved mix-design sheet referencing the IS 10262 trial.
- Batch ticket per mixer — cement, aggregate, water, admixture by mass.
- Slump check at site before discharge.
- Cube samples cast on request for 7- and 28-day strength reports.
- Material test certificates (MTC) on request.
Ready-mix concrete — common questions
- Ready-mix concrete is concrete manufactured in a centralized, computer-controlled batching plant under strict quality control, then delivered to site in transit mixers ready to pour. Compared to site-mix, RMC offers consistent mix design, documented batching, and faster placement.
