Technical challenge
An 18 lakh sq.ft. campus built over multiple phases means long haul distances to Mysore, high ambient temperatures during the summer pour windows, and dozens of separate structural elements that all have to hit the same durability standard. Fresh-concrete temperature at discharge was the binding constraint — a normal mix arriving hot would have cost slump, workability and long-term strength.
Our solution
We supplied Alpha Cool Crete at M60 — two grades above the specified requirement — with chilled-water batching and temperature-controlled logistics so concrete arrived within the target discharge temperature after the haul. Placement windows were shifted to cooler parts of the day, curing regimes were specified per element, and every batch was tracked against cube results. The higher grade gave the campus additional durability headroom at no additional cost to the client.
Client appreciation
"Alpha Concrete supplied our 18 lakh sq.ft. campus with M60 Cool Crete — two grades above what we had specified — and every delivery arrived at the right temperature and the right workability. That level of over-delivery is rare."
