    Plastic Concrete

    // Definition

    Concrete in its fresh, mouldable state — from mixing until initial set. The window during which placement, compaction, and finishing must occur.

    Plastic concrete is sensitive to evaporation and shrinkage. Hot weather and wind shorten the plastic phase, increasing risk of plastic shrinkage cracks.
