Workability
The ease with which fresh concrete can be mixed, transported, placed, compacted, and finished without segregation.
Workability is influenced by water content, w/c ratio, aggregate gradation, admixtures, and time/temperature. Measured indirectly via slump, compaction factor, or Vee-Bee tests.
A measure of the consistency and workability of fresh concrete, determined by the slump cone test. Reported in millimetres.
The ratio of the weight of water to the weight of cement in a concrete mix. The single most important factor controlling strength and durability.
A water-reducing admixture that improves workability without adding water, or reduces water demand by 5-12% for the same workability.
