    Aggregate Impact Value (AIV)

    // Definition

    A test measuring the resistance of aggregate to sudden shock or impact. Lower values indicate stronger aggregate.

    For wearing surfaces, AIV ≤ 30%. For other concrete, ≤ 45%. Tested per IS 2386 Part 4.
