    Project overview

    A 4.5m thick raft foundation for a commercial high-rise required a single continuous mass pour of 8,200 m³ over 35 hours. Alpha deployed Alpha Mass with low-heat cementitious blend and ice-cooled water to keep peak core temperature below 70°C and limit thermal differential to under 20°C — well within IS 7861 (Part 1) recommendations.

    The solution

    Low-heat Alpha Mass with 50% GGBS and ice-chilled water.

    • Cementitious: 350 kg/m3 with 50% GGBS
    • Ice substitution 30% of water mass
    • Thermocouples embedded at 12 positions
    • Pre-pour mockup to validate flow and finish

    35h non-stop, 234 trucks, zero cold joints.

    • Max differential: 17°C
    • Cube 28-day mean: 46.8 MPa (M40 target)
