For Slab (pumped) with Concrete Pump (Boom), the recommended slump is 125–150 mm. This balances workability (concrete must flow into formwork without segregation), vibration efficiency, strength (lower slump = lower W/C = higher strength), and pumpability where required. Order at 170 mm at the plant to compensate for slump loss in transit. Reference: IS 1199 and IS 456:2000.

Adding water to increase slump permanently reduces strength by ~5–7% per 10 litres added per cubic metre. If slump is wrong on receipt, request a retempering admixture from Alpha Concrete dispatch — never water.
