    The process of selecting cement, water, aggregates, and admixtures in correct proportions to produce concrete that meets strength, workability, and durability requirements.

    In India, mix design follows IS 10262. Trial mixes are tested at 7 and 28 days; the proportions are adjusted to satisfy target mean strength.
